Castries, Saint Lucia:Â The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Tourism Minister Ernest Hilaire announced that cruise passengers at La Place Carenage and Pointe Seraphine were welcomed with “Carols by the Sea” with the Mongouge Combined and National School’s Choir.
He took to his official social media account and shared, “Today cruise passengers at La Place Carenage and Pointe Seraphine were welcomed with “Carols by the Sea” with the Mongouge Combined and National School’s Choir. It is encouraging when we link the local talents within the Creative Industries with our Tourism Industry, especially our young ones. Compliments of the Season to all!”
On November 30, the deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia expressed his pleasure in walking through the Vendor’s Arcade in Castries and speaking with some of the vendors.Â
Along with this, Ernest Hilaire mentioned in the statement, “Yesterday, I had the pleasure of walking through the Vendor’s Arcade in Castries and speaking with some of the vendors. We are committed to solving the issues that they face on a daily. A full consultation will be scheduled with the Vendors to discuss the port redevelopment and how it will benefit them.”

He also met with the taxi associations that operate at La Place Carenage as well as Point Seraphine and the fisherfolk from Bananes, discussing the post-redevelopment project and answering questions and concerns that they may have.Â
Hilaire said, “In all we do, we are committed to protecting the livelihoods and providing more opportunities for our people.”
After two years of the pandemic, Saint Lucia is witnessing a great cruise season. Recently, the island welcomed the Seabourn Ovation cruise with 485 passengers.Â
Furthermore, the officials of Tourism shared a tour experience of Seabourn Ovation, which represented another stage in the evolution of small-ship cruising.Â
The cruise ship delivered a wealth of new visions and concepts, delighting the most discerning travellers of the entire globe.Â
