Ghent Sandwich Shop shares notice with people about their hard work

United States: Veteran-Owned, Ghent Sandwich Shop, a family diner, in North Carolina, shared a notice with the people about how hard they work to make sure that their food comes out hot and the way people ordered it.

They took to their official social media and noted the times and order, and they are not a fast food restaurant.

Read Here the complete statement of Ghent Sandwich Shop:

Notice: We work really hard to ensure that our food comes out hot and the way YOU ordered it. We are not a fast food restaurant. Sometimes you can’t see what happens behind the scenes, and that’s understandable. We could have multiple to-go orders or DoorDash orders being processed, which loads up the kitchen. We cook tickets in the order in which they are received.

If you are in a hurry, you can call in your order ahead of time and let us know what time you will be there.

We can only guarantee how something tastes by the way we present it. We get a lot of variations to our menu items, and sometimes truthfully, we get bum-fuzzled by them, but hey, different people have different taste buds. (Like a family member who orders a scoop of tuna salad on top of a hot hamburger plate.) What you should not do, however, is order a variation and then complain when it tastes like crap. For instance, the a bad review today on our pancakes, but the customer specifically requested ham be put on top of our sweet pancakes.

Finally, if you place a to-go order but are late, we cannot guarantee that your order will be hot. The same goes for a DoorDash order. If it sits there because you did not pick it up or a driver did not pick it up timely, it is not the fault of our kitchen. We are not obligated to remake the order. (For example, this week, ladies credit card doesn’t work when she attempts to pay, so she leaves to go to the bank to resolve this. Upon return, she wants her food recooked because it’s now cold.)

We really strive to be kind in this ever-growing mean society. We really do but DANG! There is a line in the sand at the unreasonableness that food service has been seen since the country reopened from the pandemic. Relearn manners, please and for the love of God, be kind. We will do so in return.
