Georgia: NCMEC partners with GSTV to solve Raymond Green’s missing case

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in Atlanta, Georgia, travels nationwide to help solve a decades-old child abduction mystery in Atlanta. To generate new leads in Raymond Green’s missing case, NCMEC is partnering with the national GSTV digital video network to bring Raymond’s case to the screens across the country.

Raymond Green was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 1st, 1978. After giving birth at Grady Memorial Hospital, Donna, the mother of Raymond, was befriended by a woman who named herself “Lisa.” Five days later, that woman unexpectedly arrived at Donna’s front door and abducted baby Raymond.

A forensics artist from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation created a sketch from Donna’s memory of “Lisa.” Georgia Bureau of Investigation also published an age-advanced sketch to show how it might look today. According to the Atlanta police, the unsub is a black woman, about 5’6, with a mole on her face.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, all GSTV screens will be highlighting only one case nationally. GSTV has over 28,000 fuel retailers across 48 states. It is an unprecedented effort to reach out to people who may have never heard of Raymond’s story but who may be the key to bringing him home.

Meanwhile, Violeta Ivezaj, SVP, Business Operations, GSTV, stated that its organisation’s collaboration with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has helped in reuniting the missing children with their parents since the year 2019. He further added that he usually activates in any given 25 states at a particular time and this effort is regarded as an essential step up in terms of scale by turning their screens to a single case for the first time, and he hopes to leverage the attention which the organisation has with the viewers and garner the visibility Raymond’s family requires to bring him home.

NCMEC is the largest, most influential child welfare agency in this country. They fight to protect children by creating vital resources for them and for those who keep them safe.
