Uganda: US Embassy Kampala remarks 50 years of Ugandan artists & DC-based Black Alley of hip-hop

US Embassy Kampala addressed the USA – Uganda friendship as “a People-to-people connection” and provided brief information regarding the event of hip-hop. It also remarked that some Ugandan artists & DC-based Black Alley, will mark 50 years of hip-hop which was launched in the 1970s in New York City.

Additionally, they also highlighted that the event will be organized as follows: BlackAlley in 256’s blend of GO-GO TRAP & ROCK Ugandian musicians chart course for the next 50!

As per the update, US Embassy Kampala added that through the partnership in the arts & creative spaces, the general people of Uganda and the US would be able to nurture their body & soul through the event.

Furthermore, the update shared on their official Facebook account extended thanks to Uganda National Cultural Theatre for hosting the show by which the nurture generations of Uganda’s creative community in regard to exploring the arts and thrive.

US Ambassador Natalie E Brown also shared her viewpoint on the marking of 50 years of hip-hop launched in the 1970s and stated, “I, the Breakdance Uganda team, and 4 bringing the stage to life. We could not have done this without you. May you all continue to grow your crafts & thrive in creative industries.”

One of the Ugandain social media users, Tony Smith, a Music Analyst at Hip Hop BrothaHood, took to comment section and commented, Re-watching… POWER FORCE for the third time now, and each time’s better than the one before.”

While another user and a public figure of Uganda, DJ Marjo, shared his joy and commented, “Let’s go, I love all my nations” and added the emoji of the USA along with the Uganda flag. The third user Justin Julius, a student of Kyambogo University, Uganda, also added, “I can’t wait for the show more fire”.
