Dominica U-17 Combined Schools vs SLSA, Dominica Won By 9 Wickets

The Sports Division organized Saint Lucia Sports Academy Tour of Dominica, and another match was played yesterday between Dominica schools combined under seventeen and Saint Lucia Sports Academy.

It was a Clean Sweep For Dominica Schools in Cricket as they claimed victory by nine wickets, scoring the target of 72 runs in just 6.3 overs.

The last match also resulted in a dominating victory for Dominica as they defeated SLSA by seven wickets, successfully chasing the target of 92 runs.

Yesterday’s match was played at Benjamin Park after SLSA won the toss and chose to bat first. It was a T10 format match. As in the previous game, SLSA’s top batting order struggled to face Dominican under-17 bowlers.

For the first innings, SLSA scored 71 runs by losing five wickets in 10 overs. Kensley Paul was the top scorer from SLSA’s side, scoring 30 runs, almost half the total score. Neige Eugene and Jerlani Joseph join forces with him to set a defending score by contributing 18 and 14 to set a target of 71 runs.

On the bowling side from Dominica Combined Schools, Joel Durand dismissed two bowlers by giving nine runs. Kishawn Viville 1/16 and Stephan Pascal 1/14.

For the second innings, SLSA sets the target of 72 runs in ten overs for Dominica combined under seventeen. It was another comfortable victory for Dominica under seventeen as they successfully chased the target in just 6.3 overs by losing one wicket.

Darin Toussaint was the top scorer from Dominica’s side. He scored 38 runs and remained not out until the victory. His companion Stephan Pascal scored nineteen runs.

On the bowling side of SLSA, Kensley Paul remains the only successful bowler who succeeds in taking a wicket. He took the only wicket of Dominica under 17 by giving sixteen runs. Dominica Under 17 Combined Schools Won By 9 Wickets.

Yesterday, Game 2 of the two matches series between the Dominica Combined Secondary Schools Football team and the St. Lucia Sports Academy took place on Wednesday, 12th April 2023, at Benjamin Park.

Dominica combined Secondary Schools came from 2 goals to 1 down in the first half to earn a hard-fought well, deserved three goals to 2 victories to tie the series at one game apiece.

DHAMARIO Challenger and Ajani Richards scored one goal each for the Dominica Combined Schools, with the 3rd courtesy of an own goal by the St. Lucia Sports Academy. Nathaniel Noel and Justice Germaine scored for the St. Lucia Sports Academy.
