Government extend deep condolences US activist Robinson’s family

The government and citizens of St Kitts and Nevis extend deep condolences to the late Randall Robinson’s family.

Mr Robinson, an American-born human rights activist, lawyer, and author, spent the last two decades in St Kitts and Nevis with his wife and family.

In the statement, officials provided brief information about Robinson’s life story. They noted that during his lifetime, he championed international movements and advised local politicians, governments, and non-profit groups on development initiatives and strategies for nation-building.

Furthermore, the officials and people of St Kitts and Nevis expressed their grief for Mr Robinson. They said, “We remember the life and memorable contributions made by Randall Robinson, and we embrace our part as Kittitians and Nevisians in his rich legacy.”

Meanwhile, they added that Robinson would be remembered for his spirit and determination as the president of the rallying and research organization TransAfrica, as a founder of the Free South Africa Movement, and for his extensive work regarding Haitian refugees.

Randall Robinson always voluntarily put himself forward in every aspect for the people and government of St Kitts and Nevis by making considerable changes worldwide. He also participated in sit-ins, hunger strikes, and other protests and was often called “action-radical” and “liberalis“.

With that, Randall Robinson dedicated his life to the independence, safety, and security of people worldwide, particularly persons of African descent. His life’s work was integral to the many advancements made by the TransAfrica movement, and his legacy before leaving this world will undoubtedly continue to inspire others worldwide.

Moreover, the government and citizens of St Kitts and Nevis ended the statement by wishing “eternal peace” for the late Mr Randall Robinson.
