CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping anticipated to begin operational this summer

CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping is said to begin operation as early as this summer. The launch of the Global Seafarer Recruitment Program is on its way, with a target quota of 3,000 crews planning to bring aboard the fleet.

Forming a new cruise brand – Adora Cruises

  1. Costa Atlantica – currently in the port of Cagliari, Italy
  2. Costa Mediterranean – now anchor off at Limassol, Cyprus.

Both 85,619 tons Spirit-class cruise ships formally from the Costa fleet are reported in ready deployment to set sail, returning back to China soon to begin commercial operations and tipped to sail for Japan destinations.

These two ships are expected to continue keeping their current ship names.

3. H1508 – (Hull number) 135,500 tons ship

The yet-to-be-named first Chinese-built Vista-class cruise ship with 2,125 cabins to accommodate a maximum capacity of 5,246 passengers is scheduled to enter service in late 2023. A total of 3 ships under Adora Cruises could begin service in China by the end of this year.

 4. H1509, the second new ship with a gross tonnage of 142,000, is currently under construction in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding with a scheduled delivery in 2025, which is slightly bigger than H1508.

China has created a new era in the shipbuilding industry to showcase its advanced skills in manufacturing potential, which could challenge European Shipbuilders in the near future.
