Sports division Dominica shares clip of Ghanaian MP speaking about Harry Maguire

Roseau Dominica: Sports Division Dominica uploaded a video of Ghanaian MP Isaac Adongo, who mocked his Finance Minister by comparing him to Manchester United’s defender Harry Maguire.

In the video uploaded by Sports Division Dominica on their official Facebook page, it can be seen that the Ghanian MP Adongo commented that there is a Football player currently playing for Manchester United as a defender; since he arrived at the club, he (Maguire) became a threat to its own team.

Comparing Harry Maguire to their finance Minister, the Ghanaian MP remarked that in the country, they also have an economic Maguire whose foreign policies and actions are causing loss to the country.

He said, In our country, we also have an economic Maguire who his own teammates feared because he tackled his own teammates and provided assists to the opposing teams when they needed to score a goal. During the parliament session, his speech comparing United’s defender with their Finance Minister was fun as everyone enjoyed it.

The purpose of Sports Division Dominica in uploading this video on its official Facebook page is to bring some entertainment to their audience as well as encourage the football players on the island to work hard and improve their skills so no one can mock them like Ghanian MP mocked their Finance Minister comparing them to Harry Maguire.

Harry Maguire, the English football player and Manchester United’s captain, playing as a defender, has faced such criticism due to their poor defending.

His poor defending skills and lack of judgement often gave opponents easy chances to score a goal. Manchester United, also known as the red devils, lost numerous essential matches due to Harry Maguire’s failed attempts to secure the ball possession.

Various football pages roasted the defender on social media platforms by calling him De Gea’s nightmare (United’s goalkeeper) and the GOAT of own goal.

On April 14, 2023, during a match against a Spanish club, Sevilla, even though it was not Maguire’s fault, he scored an own goal in 90+2 minute of the game levelling the score 2-2, which cost United to have advantage on aggregate.

In the first leg of the Europa League’s quarterfinal, Manchester United scored two goals and almost sealed their victory. Still, their own players, Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire scored two own goals making the score level and snatching the United’s victory.

In Spain during the second leg, Sevilla dominates United by scoring three goals and eliminating United from the Europa League race.
