“Swift Actions by North Eastern and Eastern Divisions Lead to Weapons and Ammunition Confiscation”

In a series of proactive operations, the police arrested two individuals and confiscated firearms and ammunition in separate incidents within the North Eastern and Eastern Divisions.

The swift actions occurred on December 2nd, 2023, highlighting law enforcement’s commitment to ensuring public safety.

At approximately 10:15 pm, officers of the North Eastern Division initiated Operation Blue Line Exercise near Real Street, San Juan. PC Eastman, as part of the operation, conducted a stop and search of a beige-coloured Toyota Corolla driven by a 22-year-old laborer from Eastern Main Road, San Juan.

The search uncovered an Amadeo Rossi firearm with five rounds of ammunition concealed in the waist area of the driver. The items were promptly seized, and the driver was arrested and charged for the offense. PC Eastman is actively pursuing further inquiries into the incident.

Earlier on the same day, around 4:45 pm, officers from the Special Patrol Unit in Valencia responded to reports of loud explosions near Brick House Restaurant and Bar, Valencia Old Road, in the Eastern Division.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a scuffle involving several individuals, which they successfully quelled. While interviewing those involved, a search of one participant revealed a 38 Special Revolver and 5 rounds of ammunition.

The 22-year-old man from Valencia Road was found to be without a valid permit for the firearm, leading to the seizure of the items. Subsequently, he was arrested and transported to the Valencia Police Post.

These operations underscore the proactive stance of law enforcement in addressing potential threats to public safety. The quick response to reports of suspicious activities and the effective execution of stop and search procedures resulted in the confiscation of illegal firearms and ammunition.

The arrests demonstrate the commitment of the police force to uphold the law and protect communities from potential harm.

Both individuals arrested are now in police custody, facing charges related to the possession of illegal firearms and ammunition.

The police authorities continue to emphasize their dedication to maintaining a secure environment for residents, and they encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities that could pose a threat to community safety.
