In the United States, several parts of California, it is a dilemma to find a COVID-19 test. The results of the test are also getting delayed by which has created an exasperation among the individuals.
However, it leads to soaring in the COVID-19 cases as the number of infected people has been increased(doubled) since the last two weeks. The Negative test result is mandatory for all the visiting activities such as going to work, boarding an aeroplane or going to a sports event, and so on.
Moreover, the results of the Coronavirus test has been delayed, and there the individuals are finding it challenging to find a self-test PCR kit. People with no symptoms or milder illness should think that the virus does not infect them. They should follow the regular daily routine.
Apart from this, a contagious disease doctor at the Stanford University, Abraar Karan, said, “If the person is tested positive for the COVID infection, then it is imperative for them to be isolated. A particular person can’t be tested positive, and he will not know if they have to get quarantined or not. For sure, they will roam outside their homes and will infect the people coming in their contact.”
As per the information provided, there is an increase in coronavirus affected people in California, so the demand for the test kits is doubled, and in the majority of the places, there is a shortage of the test kits. In some of the countries, the testing programs have stopped because of the burst in demand. The maximum number of people wait for most of the time in line for the several hours in the location where the tests are available.
An epidemiology professor of the University of California, San Francisco’s medical school, Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, mentioned that a lab would share the test result as it takes nine days to respond.
