Former US-President Barack Obama tests positive for COVID-19

The former president of the United States, Barack Obama 60-year-old, has been tested positive for COVID-19. He is facing some milder symptoms of the COVID-19 infection.

On Sunday, Obama shared the information via his Twitter account, and he mentioned, “I just tested positive for COVID-19.”

“I have had a scratchy throat for a couple of days but am feeling fine otherwise. Michelle & I are grateful to be vaccinated as well as boosted, and she has tested negative. It is a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.”

Whereas the former first lady, Michelle Obama, has been tested negative for the COVID test.

He further mentioned, “Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted.”

The fellow former presidents of Obama, including Jimmy Carter, George W.Bush, Bill Clinton, along with the former first ladies, appeared together in the video, which was released in previous March.

In the video, they supported the US vaccination campaign as well as shared the information that they missed about pre-pandemic life. Obama mentioned, “This vaccine means hope. It will protect you and those you love from this dangerous and deadly disease.”

Meanwhile, the cases of the COVID-19 infection is decreasing gradually, and it has created a relaxing environment for all of the individuals. The majority of the public health measures that were imposed by cities, states and the federal government have been lifted up.

Along with this, an average of 35,000 infections since the last week, and in the middle of January month, around 800,000 of the cases have been noticed.

As per Johns Hopkins University, the active death cases in the United States since the two-year COVID-19 pandemic stood on Sunday as there were more than 967,000 of the cases, which has been reached to around 79.5m cases.

As per the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), a maximum of 75.2 per cent of the individuals are fully vaccinated. Around 47.7 per cent of the fully vaccinated people who have received the booster shots has been reported.
