President Joe Biden extends grief over demise of Queen Elizabeth II

United States: On the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, President of the United States– Joe Biden, extended grief to the Royal Family and the people of the United Kingdom.

He took to social media and issued a statement which reads, “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was more than a monarch. She defined an era.”

While showering grief, President Biden stated that in a world of constant change, she always remained a presence and a source of comfort and pride for generations of the people of Britain, which includes many who have never known their country without her. An inspiring work of Queen Elizabeth II that united people across the Commonwealth.

He further mentioned that people all across the globe witnessed a personal connection with Queen Elizabeth. She, with her grace, won the hearts of the people and always worked hard for the upliftment of its people and endured the dangers of the world war. She was a stateroom of unmatched dignity and constancy who deepened the bedrock alliance between the United States of America and London.

President Joe Biden also outlined his first meeting Queen in 1982 when he travelled to the UK as part of a Senate delegation. He lauded her level of hospitality and stated that she always helped various Americans.

He stated that the United States always looked forward to working with the upcoming King and Queen. On behalf of the people of the US, he expressed grief and prayed for the betterment of the Royal Family.

Further, various other leaders also expressed condolences for her death. Former President of the United States- Barak Obama, took to social media and expressed words of grief. He added, “Like so many of you, Michelle and I were grateful to have experienced Her Majesty’s great leadership, and we are fulfilled by her legacy of tireless, dignified public service. Our thoughts are with her family and the people of the United Kingdom at this difficult time.”

Queen Elizabeth II took her last breath on Tuesday afternoon at the Scottish estate where she had spent much of her summer. She died at the age of 96 ad remained the longest-serving monarch and ruled the nation for 70 years.
