West Virginia: Barbour County police detains lady after 3-year-old found hiding under car’s floorboard

United States: Police in Barbour County, West Virginia, detained a lady after discovering a 3-year-old hiding under a car’s floorboard during a traffic stop.

According to a criminal complaint, on October 23, officers from the Philippi Police Department aided deputies from the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop on Main Street in Philippi.

Officers then got in touch with Londa Hogue, 42, of Philippi, who had three kids in the rear seat of the car who were between the ages of 4 and 8 and one newborn who was only in a booster seat.

According to the complaint, another person was sitting in the passenger seat with a dog on her lap and a 3-year-old kid “sitting in rubbish” on the floorboard in front of her.

Law police stated they could smell marijuana when they were nearby and overheard the passenger telling the youngster, “You should have kept concealed.”

According to the lawsuit, when law enforcement checked out the car, they discovered that “the children were unsecured in the vehicle with no youngster in proper safety belts” and that “the child in the front floor was at increased danger of damage in the case of an airbag being deployed.”
