City of Amarillo observes Veterans Day, highlights some of Veterans

United States: In recognition of Veterans Day, the City of Amarillo, Texas, highlighted some of the veterans who work at the City of Amarillo, United States.

Michael Mogelinski was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from August 1993 to August 1999. Sgt. Mogelinski was assigned to Marine Corps All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 121 as an Avionics and Electronics Warfare Officer on F/A-18D.

Along with this, he was stationed in Miramar, San Diego. Sgt. Mogelinski participated in 3 West Pack deployments to the South East Asia theatre and spent many months in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Guam, and Australia.

Michael Mogelinski also had several deployments in the United States.

Sgt. Mogelinski left the Marine Corps and started his career in the Amarillo Police Department. He spent 13 years on midnight patrol, eight years as a SWAT officer, and has since been promoted to Sgt. and is a supervisor of the Evening shift Patrol Division.

Recently, to honour the people who have protected the freedom of the nation for an extended period of time and the people who are serving in the United States military, City of Amarillo offices were closed on Friday, November 11, according to the official Facebook account of City of Amarillo, Texas.

In addition, veterans have played a very important role as they help in the prevention of unstable situations from developing into conflict or another war. Their uniform represents them, and they deserve honour and respect for the service they do for the nation.
