The National Housing Corporation (NHC) discussed blueprint and housing industry revolution for first-time homeowners

The National Housing Corporation (NHC) stated that in the history of the Federation, the housing industry revolutionized with the rollout of housing initiatives and shared a blueprint for first-time homeowners.

On their social media account, they remarked that the affordable SMART Homes Initiative is one of the most avid socio-economic reforms in St Kitts.

Additionally, they added that it is also a collaborative effort between NHC and birthed the government of St Kitts and Nevis with optimism that helps enrich the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis by owning homes and contributing to their upward mobility.

Furthermore, the National Housing Corporation (NHC) also provides further information about the revolution in the housing industry. They stated that the first phase will shortly commence with the construction of 600 homes, estimating the completion in 2023 in a total of 2400 homes over five years.

In addition to this, The process has now begun the process of reviewing applications and reconfiguration for the 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom architectural designs and adding to the facilities provided in these SMART Homes, such as modernized and equipped water cisterns or water storage tanks and solar energy that have never before seen in the NHC affordable homes.

They also expressed another important aspect of the project that stimulates the economy by providing employment opportunities for our citizens. The application process is open to all citizens of St Kitts.
