Uganda: The Consulate & Embassy of Kampala, “US Embassy Kampala,” shared an update on their community page about a great visit with CEO Don Wanyama & team at Vision Group Uganda on Friday, 3 March 2023, at 4:27 pm.
As per the update, US Ambassador Natalie E. Brown added that they chatted over the years, they had built a strong partnership with the company and discussed the future of media in Uganda and the highlights of USReport2UG chronicles the United States that endures collaboration with the Ugandan people.
In addition, the US Embassy in Kampala also said it was a great meeting with several Vision Group journalists & execs who are alumni of the U.S-support journalism training and exchange programs over the years.
Furthermore, The US Embassy in Kampala added that their team got a behind-the-scenes tour of The New Vision printing operations. They said Ambassador Brown dropped in XFM 94.8 station, and the station also aired one of her favourite songs, i.e. Lenny Kravitz’s Fly Away. In regard to World Wildlife Day, she also contributed by highlighting the unique biodiversity of Uganda and also about a recent shoebill trek.
In conclusion, they thanked Vision Group Uganda for showing great hospitality and for the very special book that compiles new version articles about Ambassador Brown and US Mission Uganda activities since she had arrived. Additionally, they also appreciated the decades of partnership and the work to build a brighter future together.
