Saint Lucia Carnival is one of the most popular annual party occasions in the Caribbean. The Caribbean island of St. Lucia transforms into a huge festival every July that features spectacular costumes, head-turning rhythms, parades and other festive activities.Â
The celebrations start in the days before the significant event (street parade), with an extensive range of parties and events happening across the island.
The St. Lucia Carnival, or the Lucian Mas, is a colourful and exuberant celebration of St. Lucia’s rich Caribbean heritage.Â
The holiday was developed as a result of the island’s distinctive blend of Catholic, Caribbean, and African roots.
