Read Here: Must-visit tourist attractions in Dominica

Roseau, the capital city of Dominica, is one of the smallest capital cities in the Caribbean. Despite its size, it’s packed with history, culture, and natural beauty. From the colourful architecture to the lush Botanic Gardens, there’s something to see around every corner of Dominica.

Dominica has been acknowledged as a premier travel destination by renowned publications. Travel and Leisure’s World’s Best Awards has ranked Dominica as the top island in the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the Bahamas for 2022.

Following is the list of some of the most visited tourist attractions in Dominica-

Emerald Pool: One of the most enjoyable experiences at Emerald Pool is taking a dip in the water for a swim. It offers a relaxing and refreshing feeling, particularly on hot and humid days that are frequent in Dominica.

Rugged landscapes: Dominica stands out geographically due to its rough terrain and largely unexplored, multi-layered rainforest. It is also one of the most rain-drenched countries on Earth, resulting in cascading rivers and natural pools from the abundant water runoff.

Rainforests: Dominica, the island country, is mainly covered by rainforest and has beautiful mountains home to rare plant, animal, and bird species, and offers a breathtaking nature experience.

Waitukubuli National Trail: The Waitukubuli National Trail spans 115 miles and is divided into 14 segments. It stretches from Scott’s Head in the south to Cabrits National Park in the north, covering a distance of 115 miles through the beautiful Dominican rainforest and over the mountains.

Kalinago Barana Aute: The Kalinago Barana Aute is a historical site on Dominica’s Atlantic coast. It covers 3,700 acres (15 km2) within the Saint David Parish. The boundaries were set initially by colonial authorities in 1903 and reaffirmed in the “Carib Reserve Act” of 1978. Both visitors and locals are welcome to explore this heritage site.

Boiling Lake: The Boiling Lake is a flooded fumarole found in Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a World Heritage Site on the island of Dominica. It is located 6.5 miles east of Dominica’s capital, Roseau. The lake is characterized by bubbling greyish-blue water typically surrounded by vapour.
