Nicholas Pooran scored 4 fifty’s and 2 hundred’s in last sixteen matches

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: Nicholas Pooran, the star player of Trinbago Knight Riders who scored another century yesterday, has now scored 4 fifty’s and 2 hundred’s in his last sixteen T20 matches. He’s in good form, dominating one of the best bowlers and scoring big runs.

In 20th match of Caribbean Premier League 2023 at Queen’s Park Oval, the home ground of Trinbago Knight Riders, Nicholas Pooran scored 102 runs in just 53 balls, hitting 5 fours and 10 sixes with a strike rate of 192.45.

Coming to bat at number 3, he scored the century and came pavilion back, not out, playing entire innings and scoring half of the score on his own. Trinbago Knight Riders scored 208 runs by losing six wickets.

Winning the toss, Barbados Royals choose to bowl first. The New Zealand’s Martin Guptill scored 37 runs in 30 balls. Unlucky delivery for Guptill, he stepped out and got stumped by Rivaldo Clarke.

Kyle Mayors brought the first breakthrough for Barbados, dismissing the Trinidadian Mark Deyal in second over. At number three, Pooran came and made a big difference. His dominating performance of 102 runs helped Trinbago Knight Riders score an immense target of 208.

Andre Russell aslo did some damage to the visitors by scoring 39 in 22 balls, hitting 2 fours and 4 sixes.

In second innings, the dangerous Raheem Cornwell sent back to pavilion early in third over, scoring just 4 runs. Kyle Mayors brought a tough fight for Trinbago’s bowlers and played fantastic innings of 70 runs in 45 balls, hitting 7 fours and four sixes.

After his dismissal, wickets kept coming, and no player from Barbados spent a significant amount of time on pitch. Bardos scored 166 in 20 overs. Trinbago Knight Riders won the game by 42 runs.
