Dominica women completed last training session ahead of clash with Antigua

Gros Islet: The Dominica Women’s Football team is set to face Antigua for a Concacaf Road to Women Gold Cup Group Stage Match this Wednesday, October 25, 2023. 

Yesterday, the team completed its last training session ahead of the game. The Senior Women’s National Team arrived at Daren Sammy Cricket Ground two days ago. The match will begin at 3:00 PM. 

Dominica will play Antigua again this Sunday at ABFA Technical Center. Yesterday, the final training session and DFA Press Briefing ahead of the Concacaf 2023 Road to W Gold Cup Group Stage Match against Antigua in Saint Lucia was conducted. 

Dominica is ready to take on Antigua with its 22-women squad, including six defenders, ten midfielders, four strikers and three goalkeepers. The playing eleven will be announced shortly before the kick-off. 

Here is the list of Twenty-two players selected for two matches on Wednesday and Sunday- 

Strikers: Kenisha Jno-Lewis, Le-Myah Forde, Kasika Samuel, China Tulloch

Mid-fielders: Britney Dennis, Rosalinda Paul, Ezra Elwin, Starr Humphreys, Amiah Gilbert, Miriam Elwin, Kimra Joseph, Kira Bertrand (overseas-based), Sari Finn (overseas-based)

Defenders: Daniella Laurent, Jessica Pierre-Louis, Romelcia Phillip, Alianne George, Keanna Francis, Kylee Bertrand (overseas-based)

The 2023 Road to Women’s Gold Cup is a qualifying tournament started in September 2023. The teams finishing these qualifiers with top positions will play the inaugural Concacaf Women Gold Cup scheduled to take place from February 17 – March 10, 2024, in the USA.
