Dominica Football team arrives in Saint Lucia ahead of CONCACAF Nations League match with BVI

Roseau, Dominica: The Dominican Football Association reported that the Senior Men’s National Football Team arrived safely in Saint Lucia this morning before their CONCACAF Nations League match with the British Virgin Islands on Thursday.

Dominica will play the BVI in the League C, Group C encounter at 5 PM on Thursday, 12th October, at the Darren Sammy National Stadium in Saint Lucia.

The parrots rank first in Group C with three points after defeating Turks and Caicos Islands (3-0) in their home ground, TCIFA National Academy, on Matchday 2 of the CONCACAF Nations League.

The parrots are confident and ready to face BVI in Saint Lucia to secure the top position in group 3. Since November 2019, Dominica has won five out of their last 11 matches.

They are now set to face the British Virgin Islands, who also secured a comfortable 3-1 win over the Turks and Caicos Islands last month. Both teams are evenly matched, and there is a high probability that both of them will score.

The Line-ups will be announced one day ahead of the match. The Dominican team has arrived in Saint Lucia and begins training to secure another victory in this competition.

The Men’s Senior National Football Team hit the ground yesterday and performed vital training, including defence, attack, new formations and shooting.

The pre-match press conference ahead of the match also took place yesterday in Saint Lucia. National coach Ellington Sabin and vice-captain Briel Thomas entertained questions from the media during Tuesday’s engagement.

Kavon Caesar, captain of the British Virgin Islands team and head coach Chris Kiwomya, also joined the conference.
