Adverse weather disrupts thanksgiving events in United States

United States: Considering that the end of November is approaching as well as the start of meteorological winter on December 1, there are quite a few events this weekend that depend on the weather.

For starters, there are the millions of people traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, in United States. Road conditions are a big deal. And there are several people, who plan to put up Christmas lights and other holiday decorations this weekend.

And on top of all that, there is football this weekend. A couple of local high school teams remain alive in the playoffs, and there are several college football games in the Carolinas.

Finally, some folks enjoy getting outdoors on Thanksgiving weekend, whether it’s to sit around the fire pit, or go hiking, or whatever. The weather is a big deal.

The latest computer model data indicates the highest chances of rainy periods will be from Thursday night to Friday afternoon, and again from Saturday midday until early Sunday. But that can change. They have just have to be flexible.

There are so many people who were gut-punched yesterday at the news that WBTV meteorologist Jason Myers and helicopter pilot Chip Tayag were killed in the crash along I-77 in south Charlotte.

He never worked with Jason, but he was a good meteorologist and always seemed to be upbeat. he thought he did a really nice job of presenting the weather in a calm, informative way, and he certainly was knowledgeable.
