India: BSF shot 74 rounds at another suspicious drone across Gurdaspur border in Punjab

Gurdaspur, India: The Border Security Forces of India (BSF) witnessed another drone from Pakistan in the border area of Gurdaspur in Punjab, on Sunday, January 8, 2023, morning. The Pakistani drones were observed, and the personnel of BSF has fired about 74 rounds to stop that drone from entering into the border.

On Sunday, late at night, the drones were noticed, and security personnel fired multiple rounds to prevent its movement from entering the Indian Territory. According to the information shared by India Today, it has been claimed that the security forces of Pakistan are taking the advantage of the dark night and thick fog to send their drones to India with the purpose of terrorizing the nation by keeping a check on the movement of the BSF security personnel.

As per multiple reports, some packets carried by the Pakistani drone were also recovered by the Punjab Police and the Border Security Forces security personnel.

Similarly, India Today has also highlighted that the people of Pakistan are using the same strategy to send the drones, and they are also sending packets which are attached to the drone, with the intention of smuggling the drugs or weapons from across the border.

Security personnel of the Punjab Police and BSF are currently working on the investigation process to check the reason behind sending these drones.

However, this is not the first time such an incident has taken place where the BSF forces have spotted or shot down the drones across the border of the city of Gurdaspur.

In one a similar case, a few days ago, a drone intruded into the Territory of India as well as was spotted at a height of more than 250 meters in the Territory of BSF’s Chandu Wadala border outpost in the sector of Gurdaspur sector, as per the data shared by economic times.

Along with this, in the incident that took place, Border Security Forces (BSF) security personnel has fired illuminating bombs as well as fired more than 40 rounds.

Currently, the Border Security Forces, with the help of Punjab Police border security teams, have launched a search operation in the area to check any movement further.
