Dayne Felix, who was otherwise known as G6, was a well-known local music Producer. He was the genius behind many of the Dennery Segment hits.
Felix, who is believed to be in his 20s, was gunned down this morning, 9th October. 2023 at approximately 6:50 am. He was shot in the chest and later declared dead due to gunshot wounds.
The individuals involved in homicide remain unknown. Despite efforts to have him transported right away to the Owen King EU Hospital, a doctor later pronounced him dead.
He was known for his contributions to the Dennery Segment genre, operating under the banner of G6 Productions, and crafted infectious beats and memorable melodies, including hits like “Pa Ka Chanje,” “Beng Beng,” and “From De Back,” had garnered him recognition not just on the island but also out of Saint Lucia.
Another talented musician, Messi Laurent, was murdered by gang members in July of this year. Some of the most appreciated songs in the Dennery Segment genre were created through a tight collaboration between Laurent and Felix.
Now both are no more, a massive blow to the music industry raising so many questions over the Police’s approach to halt the crime.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has opened an investigation into the death of Dayne Felix and is requesting the public’s help. Anyone with knowledge of this case or any other current inquiries is urged by authorities to come forward.
The Police suggested that anyone who has information related to this murder or about anyone involved in this incident can share it with the Police by calling Crime Hotline at 555. The identity of the individual will be kept classified and ensured by the Royal Saint Lucia Police force.
The police department emphasised that even a tiny bit of information or assistance might result in the arrest of the criminals and restore calm to the nation.
