The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, shared an update recently to announce the people about the proceeding of the National Assembly. PM Terrance Drew at the sittings of the national assembly, will read and introduce the three important pieces of legislation.
The event will be presided over by the speaker of the national assembly, Lanien Blanchett. PM Dr Drew shared the broadcast proceedings of amendment of the bills live on ZIZ Radio (96 FM) and participated in radio stations; the session can be watched live in St Kitts on Channel 5 and Channel 98 in Nevis. According to the update provided by Prime Minister & Minister for Finance, Citizenship, National Security, Health & Social Security and Immigration, Dr Terrance Drew, added that the next sitting of St Kitts and Nevis national assembly is scheduled on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM, with the deliberation of all the members of the national congregation for the three bills.
Furthermore, PM Dr Terrance Drew will introduce the following the first readings of three bills in the national assembly entitled:
Nurses and Midwives (registration) (Amendment) Bill, 2023
Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (Amendment) Bill, 2023
Banking (Amendment) Bill, 2023.
After the three bills have received their first readings, the Prime Minister, who also serves as the minister of health, will move for a second reading for the Nurses and Midwives (registration) (Amendment) Bill, 2023.
